Day 95 – Never be the Sun

The sun setting down on Redfern station is the snapshot that makes it into the blog today. Rushing out to work I forgot my camera, so again its the extrordinary (insert sarcasm) nokia 5500 that brilliantly (insert more sarcasm) captures the vivid reds and warm yellow hue of this moment!

I actually looked up sarcasm there just randomly…turns out the literal meaning is a little more cutting then I had thought! According to Dictionary.com it is: 1. harsh or bitter derision or irony 2. a sharply ironical taunt; sneering or cutting remark: a review full of sarcasms. It is know by some as the lowest form of wit as it’s aim is to hurt or belittle someone. I don’t know though, I find sarcastic people very funny! But having said that those who are funny are probably those who don’t actually mean any malice with their remarks, perhaps here is where the irony comes in.

Here are some sarcastic words and quotes on sarcasm:

“If you’re one in a million, there are six thousand people exactly like you”

“The grass may be greener on the other side but at least you don’t have to mow it”

“Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian, any more than standing in a garage makes you a car”

“Men are from earth. Women are from earth. Deal with it”

“It’s always darkest before it turns absolutely pitch black”

“Honesty is the best policy but insanity is the best defense”

“If a stranger offers you a piece of candy, take two”

“You have delighted us long enough.” –  Jane Austen

Ok that might be enough of the sarcasm for one day, have a good one!
